Understated yet Refined- my huge Baukjen Haul and Review

"Understated yet refined". This motto is something that I try to live by during my daily fashion escapades. However, it isn't easy, as many shops simply sells items that aren't versatile enough to pair with lots of different things. Today, I want to show you my giant Baukjen haul and review the items that I got.   But first, a bit about the brand- cool, chic and simple is what Baukjen is all about. The brand is made for the modern woman who juggles life, work and play with simple, minimalistic yet super stylish pieces that can fit in her wardrobe and match her daily needs. All of Baukjen's items are tailored and cut so that it flatters the body. Everything is unique, stylish and designed in a London-based studio.

I first discovered them whilst trying to find the perfect camel coat. It's cold here, and I just wanted a jacket that could be versatile and be worn effortlessly in my daily life. I was amazed to find Baukjen's range of coats- they have the most awesome range of leather jackets, blazers and woollen coats which are sophisticated and luxurious in design. Seriously, Baukjan has some of the coolest leather jackets that I've ever seen, and one of the widest range of colors too.

Anyway, I ordered two items and they came in a beautifully wrapped package.

The first thing that I received was this lovely pair of Palmer Cigarette Pants- I chose this pair of pants because it comes in a monochrome pattern and it goes pretty well with any blouse or plain tee that you can think of. The price of Baukjen's items are really reasonable, and around the mid-range of things. However, every penny is worth it for this pair of pants is arguably the best-fitting pair of bottoms that I've ever worn. It is soft, smooth and totally light. It's made from 44% virgin wool, which makes it lovely and warm for the winter season.

It's pretty much the best pair of pants for a timeless, classical look. I reckon that I'm going to be wearing these pants for the next few years to come. Quality-wise, everything's made perfectly and nothing is too loose or too tight. Cigarette pants always gives off a mature silhouette, and it's just so beautiful when paired with a white blouse. I'd rate this a 10/10!

Moving on to the best part, this lovely Farrah Double Breasted camel coat is my dream coat- and I'm so grateful that I found it on Baukjen's site. I've been wanting a camel coat for years, and this coat, with it's 90% wool composition, is pretty much every girl's dream come true. The wide lapels are flattering and gives the coat a super sophisticated and timeless feel. The buttons are pretty perfect and beautifully decorated. The coat itself is heavy and warm, and goes to my knees. I wore it out during the cold, and received so many compliments and people asking me where I got it from!

The coat itself is also beautifully cut - it's definitely a looser, more boxy cut which gives it an extra level of chicness. There is no belt included, so it's loose around the waist which is exactly what I like since I can wear sweaters underneath the coat. I'll definitely wear this coat for many years to come. It goes pretty perfectly with a giant scarf and a knitted bobble hat! It is such a good investment!

All in all, Baukjen's definitely my new favourite go-to shop for everything classic, elegant and simple. Every item from their shop can be paired with simple basics, and would be suitable for work or play. I can't get enough of the coat and the pants that I got, and they're definitely essentials that can last you a lifetime.
