Every once in a while, I come across a brand that is so impeccable and unique that I just simply have to share it with you all. Today, the brand is called Hancock, a British-based raincoat manufacturer that sells some of the most unique and stylish raincoats on the market. Now, we all know that the British weather is full of rainy days and cloudy skies, and haven't we all just wished for the perfect, custom-fitting raincoat that will look stylish no matter what? I want to show you all my latest find from Hancock and talk about what I think of their coats.
A bit about the brand- Hancock Vulcanised Articles, or Hancock for short, is a brand that makes all of their raincoats by hand. Yes, that's right, all of their apparel are handmade using natural fabrics and traditional manufacturing methods. Hancock's range of Women’s raincoats and outerwear features bonded rubber jackets, ladies macs, and stylish waterproof coats. The brand has made coats for many of their partnerships, including for J Crew and Stella McCartney, which means that their coats are extremely luxurious and superbly crafted. Best of all, Hancock offers a full restoration guarantee so if your coat gets damaged, just send it to them to have it fixed.
The most unique thing about Hancock Vulcanised Articles is that all their coats are 100% are made to order and come in a range of colours, fabrics, and fits. I chose to pick the Article 64 because of it's beautiful design. In terms of the coat itself, the quality is fantastic as Hancock makes everything to order. Their cotton material is unique in that it's 100% waterproof, due to the bonded cotton material whereby the whole coat is carefully made to repel every single droplet of rain. The technique is perfected through many years of practice, and the overall feel and look of the coat is fantastic. In particular, I really like the sturdy feel of the coat, as the coat seems quite strong and can definitely last me for years to come.
As for the design, this raincoat is quite minimal and simple. It does not have extra epaulettes on the shoulders, nor excessive inner linings, which means that the look that it creates is a chic, bold one. The most unique thing about Hancock is that their items are extremely stylish and clean-cut. The silhouette that this coat creates is a totally unique one- it's full of straight lines but the tie-waist design means that you can create a waist-cinching effect, elongating your body. The best thing about Hancock is that you can also customise your coat to your needs, so no matter what body size or shape you are, there's something for you.
As for the comfort and fit, I felt like the coat really was made with my measurements in mind. This Hancock raincoat was a Size 34 which was smaller than my usual size, but it fits really well and every detail was spot on. In fact, the sleeves were just about right and the shoulder length fits my measurements. I really love this raincoat and it fits me really well. I'd highly recommend Hancock for their stylish, beautiful raincoats!
