Icelandic Charm at it's best- my Aurum Review

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but I beg to differ. I think a lovely bracelet is a girl's true best friend! I recently received this lovely Asterias bracelet from Aurum, a lovely shop operating in Reykjavík’s city centre. The shop was expanded in 2009 to include an Aurum Concept Store, which carries a selection of jewellery from all around the world. 

Now, I've never seen Icelandic-styled jewellery before but their Asterias range really impressed me for many reasons. Firstly, there's a surreal, ethereal vibe to all of their jewellery - I wouldn't use the word shocking, but the jewellery pieces all evoke a certain emotion inside me. It's almost as if the pieces speak to me when I look at them.

For example, my bracelet has this gorgeous, unique twisted design which falls lightly on the wrist. There is a clasp on the bottom which you can't see, but the overall feeling I get when I wear this is that I stand out from the crowd. Most of their pieces have details and little loops, which makes the whole range beautifully unique.

The quality of this bracelet is also fantastic- it is made from Sterling silver, which doesn't rust or wear out unlike gold plated jewellery. I chose this colour because it looked clean and polished, and I'd love to wear it everyday to school.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase from Aurum. I'd highly recommend them!
