Best Organic Skincare Gift Idea for 2019- So Good Botanicals Review

Christmas shopping is always a fun and exciting activity, but the hardest part about it is deciding what to get your loved ones. Socks? Sweaters? We've all had our share of unwanted presents that we end up never using. This year, I want to talk about what you can get your family and friends, and I'm going to introduce you to some awesome products that I recently tried from So Good Botanicals, an organic skincare brand from Hong Kong.

A bit about the brand- frustrated by a large collection of skincare products that didn't work, So Good Botanicals was created to combat problematic skin using the healthiest, most sustainable and healthy ingredients one can find. The founders of So Good Botanicals believe in the power of natural plant-based ingredients, and believe that problematic skin requires more nutrients and healthy fats. As a result, they have created an entire range of organic and natural skincare products that helps men and women achieve stronger, healthier and blemish-free skin.

The brand's range is impressive and can be found on their Etsy shop. I am going to review 3 items from the brand and talk about my experience using them, and how they'd make lovely Christmas gifts for people who suffer from problematic skin. But first, take a look at some of the items that I got to try below!

I got their signature Godmother Beauty Balm, a natural acne treatment and moisturiser which contains ingredients such as Black Seed Oil and Organic Basil to help combat bacteria, acne and reduce blackheads. I've got combination skin so I always get acne, but after using this cream on my spots for a few days, I found that my red marks and spots have reduced in size and appearance. This cream is so much better than using harsh chemicals like retinoids and peroxides to treat my acne, and I found that this balm also has a soothing effect on my skin.

This beautiful waterless cream is designed to target problematic skin conditions in all climates. I like how it doesn't stick to your skin after you apply it, which feels great as Hong Kong is quite humid and hot so the most important thing that a product has to do is not feel sticky and heavy on the skin. I really love how you can use the Godmother balm for different purposes, and it works well as a moisturiser as well as a breakout cream. It would make a lovely gift for teenagers or people suffering from acne.

Secondly, I got their signature Anti Ageing Facial Serum, which is a natural and organic oil-based serum made from a potent combination of ingredients. It contains Organic Sea Buckthorn, Black Seed Oil and Meadowfoam, which nourishes the skin without any harsh chemicals. The oil contains healthy fatty acids that protect against dryness and prevents wrinkles. This oil is extremely lightweight and felt very easy to apply, and instantly rejuvenated my skin. It works wonders as a base or in the evenings, when you want something to nourish your skin. I'd highly recommend this serum for people with delicate and dry skin, and it would make such a lovely gift as it's packaged really well and comes in a dainty and gorgeous bottle.

Lastly, I tried out So Good Botanical's Green McQueen Super food cleansing mask, which is an amazing and refreshing mask made with Spirulina and raw honey. The green colour comes from the spirulina and contains a powerhouse of amino acids, proteins and vitamins. The combination of Jojoba and Nettle make this mask an extremely healthy and powerful skin treatment to brighten your skin and reduce wrinkles. I used it on my skin a few times this week, and it made my face glow with health afterwards. You only need a small amount so the mask can last you a really long time.

I'd highly recommend So Good Botanicals as their skincare range is completely natural and works wonders on the skin. If you're struggling for Christmas gift ideas this year, look no further as So Good Botanicals has got you covered! Their range is perfect for those who want a change in their normal skincare routine, or want to move away from the harsh chemicals that are often found in products from big brands. I hope you like my review!
