Ageless Eyes: Transformulas Marine Miracle Eyezone Review

A bit about the brand- Transformulas has a motto which is "Beauty without surgery". They are makers of beauty products and creams that work to make skin younger and more radiant. Bridging the gap between medical and cosmetic treatments, they offer groundbreaking formulas that are clinically researched and specially designed to fight the signs of ageing in an effective, safe and non-invasive way.

They have launched a range of eye creams- and this time I'm going to review the Marine Miracle Eyezone. This is a treatment that has been exclusively developed for the delicate eye area. It's made with Aldavine, a special ingredient that is made up of an association of 2 unique algae polysaccharides. It's purported to have special effects on the skin in terms of making it younger.

The Review

Overall rating: 3/5

Packaging: Shiny, unique and cool- the packaging definitely stands out amongst other cosmetic products. It is shaped in a round orb-like case, and it is very shiny and metallic. It looks almost like an alien space orb. I'm quite into the design, it's so cool.

Ease of use: I'd expect them to come with a spatula or a pick, but it didn't. I'm quite disappointed because I think it's more hygienic to use a spatula instead of my dirty fingers when touching my eye. They should have thought about that! Also the round case was quite difficult to unscrew, because I can't tell which way to twist. Also the case is a bit too smooth… it was hard to open. The jar itself was too small also, so my fat fingers can't really fit inside. But once I manage to open the actual jar, it was good to go.

Smell and texture: I hate creams that smell too strong or too sweet. This eye cream was a bit sweet smelling, which means that you won't like it if you're into neutral smelling creams. However, it wasn't that strong, so maybe that can be forgiven. I would have preferred a cream that smells more natural though. The texture is normal- not too thick, just about right.

Value for money- for a 10ml container, it is quite pricey. It costs £41.95 / USD $49 per 10ml- so I think it's in the high-range of things, but worth it if you've got a little extra to splurge.

Effect: after using it, I felt that my eye area was indeed more moisturised and soft. In fact, it was quite a pleasant feeling, since it didn't leave any grease or oily residue. I think that if I keep using this for a long time, the skin below and above my eyes will be much more smoother and young-looking that it was. It created a very supple effect on my skin- and it absorbed really quickly. I'm quite impressed.

My eye bags are always expanding, so it's about time to invest in a good eye product. I'm a bit upset that this eye cream is so little- how much can I use for 10ml? I think it might last for 3 weeks.

What do you think?
