I've always loved the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and those summer inspired films. They're beautiful, nostalgic and bring out happy memories of summer fun, love and madness. This summer, I have decided to go Greek and buy myself a few pairs of Greek sandals from this lovely shop called Astir Sandals, available on Etsy. Trust me, they're wonderful and you're going to LOVE this post and their sandals!
A bit about the brand- Astir Sandals is a shop that specialises in 100% handmade, artisan sandals that are inspired by the Greek tradition. Their sandals are lovingly handmade by craftsmen using genuine, beautiful and high-quality leather, and they ship pretty much to anywhere in the world. The interesting thing about the brand is that they sell a unique range of sandals with designs that I've never seen before- ranging from gladiator sandals to more simple, casual styles.
I'm going to show you 2 pairs of sandals that captured my heart, and hopefully you can check them out too to see what you like from their range. Take a look below!
The first pair of sandals that I want to showcase is this gorgeous Ankle Strap White Nysa Unisex sandals- yes, you read correctly, they're unisex and can be worn by men and women alike! This means that you can get cute couple sandals for you and your boyfriend/ girlfriend and look cute together!
Apart from that, the design of the sandals is really unique and beautiful. The sandals are designed with a boho-inspired feel so the straps are quite nicely done in the front. The front features two thinner straps, and the middle strap is thicker and sturdier, giving good support to the leg. I think buying sandals can be tricky as you never know how much support you can get. These sandals ensures that your foot is supported when you're wearing these out!
As for the quality, the sandals are beautifully made with pure leather, which smells really lovely and feels extremely soft and durable. The leather is smooth, so you feel great wearing these shoes. The straps are well made, tight and stitched on well. This pair of shoes can last for a long time! It is extremely comfortable and light, and feels like a million bucks!
Lastly, I got these lovely, bright and funky Skopelos Red Sandals made with a T-bar design. The design is unique as T-bar sandals are usually not flattering, but these sandals makes sure that the straps are thin enough to give off a feminine feel. The result is that these sandals look delicate, beautiful and feminine, yet can be worn for long walks and casual occasions without breakage or lack of support.
The quality of Astir Sandals's shoes are amazing, and this pair of red sandals are no exception. The t-bar straps are stitched on really well, and the base of the sandals is really thick and sturdy. I love the fact that there isn't any heels on this sandals, as it's hard to walk in heels. These would suit casual or formal occasions, as the red goes well with dresses, t-shirts and jeans alike. I always pair this with my t-shirt and denim shorts for a casual feel.
Overall, Astir Sandals impressed me very much with their beautiful range of sandals, impeccable designs and gorgeous styles. I love the red sandals most as they're gorgeous and flatters the feet, and they make me feel confident, happier and a little bit taller!
