I Love Flying Business Class - Qatar Airlines Diptyque Amenity Kit Review

As someone who flies the long haul from Hong Kong to London more times a year than I care to count, my mission is always the same: land feeling human and sane. The battle against dry cabin air, stiff limbs, and that general travel weariness is real. 

So, when I settled into my Qatar Airways business class seat on my latest trip to the UK (yes, I redeemed the flight because I'm too poor to afford to buy actual tickets) and was presented with the new Diptyque amenity kit, I was genuinely very happy and curious. Could this collab actually improve my in-flight routine? After a full flight’s testing, my verdict is yes. 

The kit itself immediately feels different from your usual business class kit. The branded bag feels plush and substantial and meant to be kept and re-used. I received the female-customised version. Let’s talk about the products, because this is where Diptyque truly elevates the experience of flying (for me).

• The Nourishing Lip Balm was great- cabin air sucks the moisture from your skin, and my lips are always the first casualty. Filled with roses and violets, this balm is luxuriously thick without being sticky. I applied it after take-off and again before landing, and it created a lasting protective barrier. Unlike some waxy balms, this one felt genuinely soothing and softening, leaving my lips perfectly prepped for the cool UK air upon arrival.
• The Fresh Lotion for the Body- infused with the scent of orange blossoms, this was my secret weapon against that "sleepy skin" feeling. About halfway through the flight, after waking from a rest, I applied it to my arms, hands, and neck. The texture is light and absorbs incredibly quickly. The fragrance was instantly uplifting, and my skin felt refreshed and rehydrated, not just superficially moisturised. It’s a brilliant product for all skin types, as it delivers moisture without any heaviness.
• Essential Face Cream- with prickly pear extract to boost radiance, this is a serious skincare product, not just a basic moisturiser. After cleansing my face mid-flight, I patted this on. The texture is rich yet remarkably non-greasy, sinking in beautifully to nourish and replenish my parched complexion. When we began our descent into London, my skin didn’t have that tight, dehydrated look I often battle. Instead, it felt plump and comfortable. 

Finally, the Diptyque Fragrance- I received the ‘Eau Rose’ Eau de Toilette. An infusion of damascena and centifolia roses, it’s a true, fresh rose scent—elegant and dewy, not powdery or old-fashioned. About an hour before landing, I spritzed it on my wrists. It cuts through the cabin atmosphere...It made me feel put-together, refreshed, and distinctly not like I’d just spent hours on a plane. The olfactory memory is so strong that now, whenever I catch a whiff of that particular rose, I’ll think of arriving in London feeling polished.

Anyway, this Diptyque amenity kit, all things considered, effective in-flight wellness. I think it truly does counter the stresses of long-haul travel. From the protective lip balm and refreshing body lotion to the radiance-boosting face cream and mood-lifting fragrance, each item served a precise purpose in my mission to land in the UK feeling my best. 

And note, I did end up selling a few of these kits off Ebay and Facebook Marketplace and earned a few hundred pounds, as I collected a few and even asked my partner to give me his! So they're worth something in the secondhand market because your girl could not use up all of these products!
