A road trip starts building the excitement long before you reach the venue. You can create a playlist featuring the artist you are going to see, listen to podcasts about the team you are supporting, or simply enjoy having uninterrupted time with the people you are traveling with.

If you are traveling to Maryland from far away, for example, you could fly part of the way and arrange to transport your car to Baltimore, giving you access to your own vehicle once you arrive without committing to days behind the wheel.

One of the best things about traveling for an event is that you already have a reason to visit somewhere new. It makes sense to add another day or two and see what else the destination has to offer.
If you are traveling for a Saturday night concert, why not arrive on Friday and explore? You might discover great restaurants, museums, neighborhoods, hiking trails, or local attractions that you would never have visited otherwise.
