Designer Furniture Brand Spotlight: Mariner 1893

Once in a while, I come across these interesting listings on Carousell or Facebook selling vintage Italian pieces of furniture. And once in a while, I become very intrigued with finding more about the brand behind the item. Today, I want to talk about this designer furniture brand that I recently learned about from my vintage thrift hauls called Mariner. 

A bit about the brand: Founded in Valencia, Mariner is one of Spain’s most prestigious furniture brands, known for their exquisite craftsmanship and timeless approach to luxury design. Since 1893, the company has been making high-end lamps and furniture that exudes sophistication and style, blending in traditional craftsmanship with luxurious materials. 

Each of their piece reflects the spirit of Spanish artistry- rich in detail, balanced in form, and uncompromising in quality. It's truly an "old money" brand of designer furniture- you won't find a Mariner piece in just any home. You will find some of their pieces in the world’s most luxurious residences, yachts, and hotels. I've personally seen many of their pieces in luxurious hotels around the world, not knowing that they come from this very brand.

The idea behind Mariner's furniture is that everything is supposed to reflect their values: style, quality, workmanship and design. Mariner operates across two main categories: furniture and lighting. Both are treated with the same level of care and quality control.

And the more I learn about the brand, the more I realise that owning a Mariner piece isn’t just about opulence and aesthetics.
