Four ways to speed up your beauty routine in the morning

Four ways to speed up your beauty routine in the morning

It is no exaggeration to say that society is becoming faster and faster with every passing year. This means that we are all becoming progressively more strapped for time. For many, the morning is the part of the day that is particularly rushed. From getting the kids’ breakfasts ready and their lunch bags packed, to getting yourself ready and presentable for the day, mornings in many households can be a frantic and hectic rush to get out of the door so that the kids won’t be late for school and we’ll be in time for work.

Saving time on our morning beauty routines is therefore, for many, a top priority. Here are four tips that may help you save time in the morning.

1. Designate an area to your beauty regime ‘tools’

Running around like a headless chicken in the morning, desperately trying to locate your Johnson’s moisturiser, certainly won’t do you any favours in the saving-time stakes.
Therefore designating a certain area of your bedroom or bathroom to all your beauty regime products can be very valuable. Laying such ‘tools’ out in a certain order may also help save you time in the morning.

2. Use a tinted moisturiser

Using a tinted moisturiser effectively does three jobs in one and will therefore save you precious time in the morning, not to mention money! A quality tinted moisturiser will not only hydrate and moisturise your face, but in containing a SPF, it will protect your skin from the sun. Not only this, but being tinted, many women find that they do not need to put any foundation on as the moisturiser acts like a foundation.

3. Use a pressed face powder

If you use a face powder, pressed formulas are much easier to use than a loose version. Loose face powders have a tendency to be uneven causing you to spend precious minutes in the morning trying to even out the powder. A pressed powder on the other hand, gives you a more even and flawless look immediately, saving you precious time.

4. Use an eyeliner pencil rather than liquid eyeliner

As liquid eyeliners take a few minutes to dry, they cost valuable minutes in the morning. How many times have you been in a rush and tried to put your eye shadow or mascara on before your liquid eyeliner has had chance to dry, causing an unsightly line of black to emerge under your eyes? Eliminate this time-consuming risk in the morning by applying pencil eyeliner, which is much easier to handle.
