It's officially winter and today I want to show you my new favourite socks from Perilla. I have featured Perilla before but they have lots of exciting new items which were launched on their site. Perilla is an amazing shop that specialises in alpaca accessories and clothing- they have lots of cool alpaca socks, and accessories for sale which are just perfect for the colder months.
I got four pairs of socks from Perilla's range, and they're absolutely gorgeous. They are all from Perilla's bed socks range, but two are non elasticated alpaca bed socks and the rest are from their normal range. I chose them because my studio apartment is crafty and feels rather cold during the night. I wanted something to warm my feet during my sleep, and found Perilla's alpaca socks to be the most affordable and high-quality option out there. Now, onto the review!
The quality and design of these bed socks are simply fantastic and second to none. The socks are loose ribbed and made of 90% pure baby alpaca which feels extremely soft and breathable on the feet. I really don't like socks that restrict your foot's movement and constrict at the top. These socks feel loose, comfortable and snug around my feet without that "tight" feeling you get with other types of bed socks. I think the baby alpaca wool is extremely luxurious and feels even softer than cashmere. I usually hesitate to wear socks at night, but wearing these feel like I'm walking on a cloud! What's great about the socks are that they come loose fitting, so is perfect for sleeping or lounging around. It's not suitable for walking as it's quite delicate. These socks are simply the most comfy socks I've ever worn, and would make amazing gifts for loved ones this winter.
In terms of the design, the socks are ribbed and textured, which means that they are non-slippery when you want to walk around the house. The socks are also quite lengthy but not too long, which means that it gives your feet and calves warmth without restricting any blood circulation throughout the night. This is really important, because it's scientifically shown that having warmer feet helps you sleep better at night. The socks are well-made and knitted perfectly, and there were no loose yarns. Perilla certainly knows how to mix luxury with affordability as each pair of socks only costs 18 pounds.
The socks comes in a lovely package and they're perfect as gifts to buy for your boyfriend, girlfriend or parents. Perilla stocks them in a huge range of colors including pink, grey, blue and beige. These colourful pairs of socks are gorgeous and look lovely with a variety of outfits. I love wearing mine to sleep, and it feels so cozy on the feet. They are quite delicate though so you have to wash them by hand, as they'd get damaged otherwise.
