Retro, Fun and Chic- Bricktown World Review

As a fashion blogger, I'm always on the hunt for unusual, fresh, exciting clothing to add to my collection. But every once in a while I would stumble upon a brand that makes me go "wow" with a mixture of awe and appreciation. Bricktown World is the shop that made me super excited because I think you'll all love their cute, retro and trendy range of items.

A bit about the brand- Bricktown World was launched in 2014 by Samuel David Benainous. They are a French label based in Paris, and all their designs are inspired by the founder's childhood. They sell all sorts of sweaters and t-shirts featuring "old-schooled" designs on the top right corner of the pieces, and most of their items are fit for both men and women. I particularly love their range of retro t-shirts, which reminds me of something straight out of a high-end magazine and a vintage TV show- and those really stylish, hip streetwear-inspired modern styles that we see everyday on the internet.

I have to say - I'm in love with my new Bricktown World Smiley Face sweater (you can find a similar one here). This modern, stylish sweater can be worn with both jeans or leggings because it comes in a variety of sizes suitable for both men and women, giving it a very comfortable and casual look. I love pieces that are comfortable, cute and warm, and I absolutely adore the colorful "smiley face" logo at the front of the sweater! 

I love styling the sweater with a pair of black high-heeled boots, because I'm such a boots girl. I think it's an outfit great for spring, or the cooler months because of the thickness of the sweater. I feel that this sweater fits me pretty well, and I got a size up because I wanted to go for the oversized look. It also fits guys and would be a perfect gift idea for someone who loves vintage and retro designs. 

I also got this lovely white tee featuring a cool "Mario Brothers" design in the front. This tee totally brings back my childhood memories, as I used to play this game on my computer everyday when I was a kid. This tee matches so well with jeans, skirts and shorts. It is a classic white t-shirt made with a slim-fit cut, suitable for both men and women. I absolutely adore the design and the style! 

I think this tee would look great with the sleeves rolled up, and I definitely got lots of compliments when I wore this out into town to meet my friends. 

I'm pleased with Bricktown World's quality and versatility. All their items are made from 100% pure cotton, which is comfortable and breathable.In terms of quality, the t-shirt and sweater are one of the best that I've ever owned as it's warm and thick, and nothing like those thin ones I see in the shops.  Those don't keep warmth very well, but this sweater is extremely cozy and holds in heat pretty well. In terms of versatility, you can style it with anything, jeans, shorts, tights, skirts or even think of something unique. 

Overall, I'm so happy to finally be able to write about one of my favourite wardrobe pieces of this year. I've been eager to get myself a lovely cute sweater for the cooler months, and this Bricktown World piece really hits the perfect balance between cute and stylish. Plus, I'm a lover of unisex items, so this is sweater is definitely going to be one of my most-worn pieces ever. Their t-shirts are also fitting, beautiful and stylish. I got lots of compliments when I first wore them out!
