It's almost summer and I am super excited to be able to wear dresses, shorts and skirts. I've been waiting for ages so that I can change into my summer wardrobe, and today I've got something really exciting to share with you all. I adore boutique shops, and I am absolutely loving Feather & Bone, a gorgeous, beautiful and free-spirited shop that sells the loveliest clothing that I've seen for a while.
A bit about the brand- Feather & Bone is a shop that sells bohemian, relaxed and casual clothing for women of all shapes and sizes. Their aim is to provide items that can last for years, looks fantastic and original. As their site says, the brand's originated in London, as the follow on from Baby Ceylon, which is a brand that established a cult following from the Portobello Arcade, being worn by famous and glamorous women worldwide. Feather & Bone adds a retro, vintage feel to their clothes, and all of their fabric choices are made using ethical fabrics sourced from larger runs, so materials won't be wasted.
I'm going to show you two awesome outfits styled from Feather & Bone's new arrivals. The first item that I'm showing off is this gorgeous, free-spirited Charlotte dress- this dress reminds me of something worn by movie stars in the 60s, as it's loose, flowing yet cinched at the waist for a fitted look. It's got a lovely sleeve that's fluttery and loose, and it looks absolutely gorgeous when paired with a hair of heels or sandals. I styled the Charlotte dress with a pair of nude heels and it already looks extremely stylish. I think this dress will be perfect for occasions such as formal dinners, date nights or sunny days out in the beach. The dress's design is extremely versatile and fashionable, and I love the short, mini length of the dress. The Charlotte also has a knotted front, which makes the waist of the dress extra slim and narrow.
In terms of the quality, this Feather & Bone is extremely well-made and stitched perfectly. The best thing about Feather & Bone is that their items are all super high-quality and made to last. It's not fast-fashion which breaks easily, like many high street shops. That's why I really love this dress!
As for the comfort and fit of the Charlotte dress, everything is perfect as I got a UK 8 and it fits me well. I'd advise to size to your normal size, as Feather & Bone's items are true to size. They have a variety of sizes for women of all shapes and sizes. The fit of the dress is also great, and the dress is flattering while looking subtle and bohemian at the same time.
The next outfit I want to show you, as you can see above, is the Sadie Blouse and Laura Skort which is a matching set that comes in a beautiful, duck blue colour. The design of the blouse is beautiful, as it has a streamlined, fitted panel in the middle with a long row of buttons that nips in the waist and accentuates the bust. There's also an invisible zip down the side for more fitted look, and the blouse has a 3/4 sleeve which sways with my every movement.
The blouse is absolutely gorgeous and the quality of the fabric is top-notch. I've never seen anything quite as well made, and the stitching of the blouse is amazing. I got a UK size 8 and it fits me well, and the blouse is really slimming against the waist!
As for the skort, it exudes glamor and style and is extremely comfortable. The material is made from a chiffon-like fabric, and the skirt has a really airy, light feel to it. It is made in a tailored fit, which flatters the waist and hips. The back has an elegant invisible zip so that you can't see it, and it pairs with the Sadie Blouse perfectly. Worn together, this matching set forms of the most gorgeous outfit that I've ever seen! It's like I'm back in the 60s, partying with the movie stars and laughing at a director's charming conversation!
I wore it outside to a party and got lots of compliments for my matching outfit. Feather & Bone offers shipping to the US, UK and pretty much anywhere in the world. Their clothing is perfect for any occasion, and I love the bohemian, relaxed vibe that all of their items give.
